Just Friends - Our Story

Together since 1986, JUST FRIENDS has shared the stage with many iconic groups, including Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge, Larry Chance and the Earls, Lenny Coco and the Chimes, Jay Black and the Americans, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Ruby and the Romantics, The Duprees, The Impalas, The Dubs, The Mystics, and The Classics, among others. JUST FRIENDS has also made several guest appearances on WCBS FM’s Don K. Reed’s Doo Wop Shop.

Based in Staten Island, NY, JUST FRIENDS performs classic hits from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, along with original songs written by Richard Marzo. The group entertains audiences of all ages at various venues, including clubs, restaurants, private parties, and street fairs throughout the tri-state area. They are also dedicated to giving back to the community by supporting the fundraising efforts of many non-profit organizations.

JUST FRIENDS is committed to delivering authentic four-part harmony, a hallmark of the classic vocal groups of the 50s and 60s. Unlike some performers who rely on electronic processing such as Auto-Tune and harmonizers, JUST FRIENDS prides itself on producing pure, unaltered harmonies. What you hear is the result of the human ear, voice, and meticulous practice, staying true to the original arrangements and performances. This is our pledge to our audience.
